Underage table quiz

Last Friday night’s table quiz in aid of our underage section at St James’ Hall proved to be a resounding success, with over 20 teams taking part.

A great night was had by all. A special thanks to quizmaster TP O’Gorman, the score keepers, answer sheet collectors and the local businesses who sponsored prizes for the raffle. Well done also to young Maddie Nannery and Keelan Larrigy on their impromptu singing performances. The big crowd clearly didn’t faze them!

AGM

Our AGM takes place in Scoil an Chlochair on Sunday, December 11. All club members are asked to attend this very important meeting which will elect new officers for the coming year.

Sympathy

Deepest sympathy is extended to Ann Corcoran (nee Quinn), on the sudden passing of her husband Pat, late of Arden Lane, Tullamore and formerly of Leamonaghan, Ballycumber. Pat was a brother-in-law of club members Johnny Quinn and Bernie Barrett. May he rest in peace.

Leinster final

Congratulations to The Downs on reaching their first Leinster club SFC final in 50 years with a great win over Meath champions Ratoath in Croke Park last Saturday evening.
