JFC ‘B’ v Coralstown/Kinnegad

Hard luck to our junior B's who suffered a 2-6 to 4-8 defeat to Coralstown/Kinnegad in their championship opener last Tuesday, June 15.

After an evenly-contested opening half, Coralstown/Kinnegad restricted us to just a goal in the second half to run out winners. The game was notable for the inclusion of the evergreen Aidan Gorry in the Coralstown/Kinnegad full forward line, 21 years after he scored 2-8 for us in our 2000 IFC final win over Ballymore.

Team: Adrian Carroll; Dylan Maloney, Ciaran Egan, Rory O'Neill; Conor Carroll, Warren Maher, Mel Kiernan; Keith Corcoran, Darragh Coffey; Micheal Coffey, Mark Sonner, Cathal Maher; Cathal Finn, Sean Maher, Stephen Carroll. Subs used: James Finnegan, Martin Ward, Alan Fennell, Shane Gorry, Michael Joyce and Declan Rogers.

Upcoming fixtures:

ACFL Division 3A v Killucan on Friday, June 25 at 8pm in Kilbeggan

ACFL Division 6B v Tang on Sunday, June 27 at 11.30am in Kilbeggan

JFC 'B' v Killucan on Tuesday, June 29 at 7.30pm in Kilbeggan

U10 Girls Blitz

Well done to our girls who took part in last Saturday’s U10 Blitz in Loughnavalley.

Our two teams acquitted themselves very well in their games against Shandonagh, St Joseph’s, Milltown, Tyrrellspass and the host club, and are already looking forward to the next blitz.
