Thomas McCurtains club notes

September 15, 2020

Thomas McCurtains GAA will return to club activities following our 7 day shut down period from Monday 14th September.

We took the decision as a club to enter this shut down period in order that we could isolate any potential traces of COVID19 across the membership base and following a large number of test results with the vast majority being negative, as well as no further developments of the virus arising in these past 7 days, we are in a position to return to activity.

We have been in regular consultation throughout these past 7 days with regulatory bodies and authorities to arrive at this conclusion.

As a club we have a duty of care over the health and safety of all of our members and that will always be priority Number 1. However, every club member must understand that they also have a duty of care over their own health and safety as well as that of their peers and the wider community.

It is important to note that we return to activity on the basis of the continued and utmost strictest adherence to all guidelines set out in the GAA return to play protocol, the TMC return to play protocol and of course the guidelines issued by the UK Government.

We thank you all for your support and understanding during this period and this should come as a reminder to us all that COVID19 has not gone away and we must at all times be vigilant in following guidelines to ensure we can play the sports we all love.

Training will restart for all teams except camogie this week with plenty of fixtures in Goodmayes this weekend. Please note that no spectators are allowed at games but there will be regular updates on our social media channels.
