Tipperary senior hurling manager Liam Cahill has been ratified to his post for another two years with the option of a third.
The Premier men’s All-Ireland SHC final victory over Cork in July marked the end of Cahill’s three-year term with the team, having been appointed to his role in the summer of 2022.
Friday night’s meeting of the Tipperary county board saw Cahill given the extension which will see him remaining in his post for another two years at least.
The Ballingarry native is expected to keep coach Michael Bevans, Declan Laffan and TJ Ryan (selectors) and coaching support David Herity in his back managerial backroom team.
