Kerry stars David and Paudie Clifford are among some of the country’s biggest sporting names to take part in next month’s take part in the Amgen Irish Open Pro-Am.
The two brothers each played integral roles for the Kingdom this summer as they secured a 39th All-Ireland senior football championship, defeating Jim McGuinness’s Donegal side by 1-26 to 0-19 in the final at Croke Park.
They’ll be joined by fellow 2025 All-Ireland winner Ronan Maher who captained Tipperary to their first All-Ireland senior hurling championship title in six years last month as the tore up the script against favourites Cork in the final (3-27 to 1-18).
Ireland rugby star Josh van der Flier has also been confirmed along with former internationals Johnny Sexton and Tommy Bowe, and organisers expect to reveal more celebrity participants for the event in the coming weeks.
The Amgen Irish Open Pro-Am takes place on Wednesday, September 3 at Kildare’s K Club, with the 2025 Amgen Irish Open taking place from September 4-7.
