Abbeydorney have put Neilus Flynn Cups back-to-back following a 0-23 to 0-17 victory over Ballyduff in the Kerry SHC final at Austin Stack Park.
In what was a repeat of last year’s decider, the holders came flying out of the starting blocks with early points from James O'Connor, Michael O'Leary and Michael Slattery, and went on to lead by 0-13 to 0-8 at the interval.
Ballyduff, who were seeking to join Kilmoyley on top of the roll of honour with 26 titles, reduced the deficit to two points after the restart thanks to Jack Enright, but Abbeydorney replied with efforts from Oisín Maunsell, Ruairi Ó hAiniféin and free-taker Michael O'Leary to wrestle back control and run out six-point winners.
They now face a long break to the start of the Munster club IHC against the Clare intermediate winners on November 2.
