Tyrone star Eoin McElholm said it was “a pure euphoric feeling” when the full-time whistle sounded in Wednesday night’s All-Ireland U20FC final victory over Louth.
The Red Hands triumphed to their third Clarke Cup success in four years thanks to a 5-16 to 0-17 win against the Wee County at Armagh’s Athletic Grounds.
McElholm contributed 2-4 in the win and is now expected to return to duty with Malachy O’Rourke’s senior panel as they gear up to face Mayo in Round 2 of the All-Ireland SFC tomorrow evening in Omagh (7pm).
"I'm absolutely over the moon, just a pure euphoric feeling," he is quoted saying by BBC Sport NI.
"Coming back to the 20s for another year and doing back-to-back is absolutely massive."
On the team itself, he added: "There's great footballers in every position. That's what you need. You need the whole thing flowing in the right direction and it looks like it is."
