A small piece of history will be made on Saturday when the Offaly camogie team plays in Glenisk O’Connor Park for the first time.
Traditionally, the Offaly camogs have played their home games in Birr, but they have now finally been given the opportunity to display their skills in the county grounds, over 120 years after the Camogie Association was founded. David Sullivan’s charges come into the Very League Division 2A encounter against Meath on a high after winning away to Kerry and Derry in the first two rounds.
“It's a hugely significant day as it will be the first time our girls play in Glenisk O'Connor Park so let's make it an occasion for the girls and see everyone come out and support them,” Offaly Camogie posted online.
