Cork have no injury concerns ahead of Sunday week’s All-Ireland SHC final showdown with Clare.

Speaking at his team’s media event on Monday night, Cork manager Pat Ryan confirmed that all of his players came through last Sunday’s titanic semi-final against Limerick unscathed.

“Just a few bangs and bruises but nothing that will stop anybody training on Wednesday,” he said.

Ryan also revealed that he has taken parental leave from his job with Pfizer in Ringaskiddy to concentrate fully on All-Ireland final preparations.

“I’m on two weeks’ parental leave at the moment so it’s not too bad,” he explained.

“To be honest with you, I’m lucky in my job, I have good bosses and stuff like that so I took two weeks’ parental leave. That prep that you needed to do before Limerick needed to be done.

“Obviously, I was confident that we would win and I knew that this week would be a really, really helter-skelter week and I had that planned into it and I’ll go back to work Monday week.”
