Kilkenny manager Derek Lyng says his players will be focusing on their own strengths when they meet four-in-a-row chasing Limerick in Sunday’s All-Ireland SHC final.

The Cats are looking avenge last year’s defeat on the same stage to the same opposition and end their eight-year wait for the Liam MacCarthy Cup to come back to the Marble City.

Speaking to RTE Sport this week, Lyng says a massive challenge await his charges.

"Every game you play against opposition you learn something from them,” he said.

“They [Limerick] are a fantastic team and are going rightfully for four-in-a-row, they deserve that right, so that's the challenge that lies ahead.

“It's also about looking ourselves, we've been pretty decent this year and are focusing on our own strengths as well and making sure we bring them into the game.

"Our focus is on where we can get better."
