Galway's bid for a fourth successive All-Ireland minor hurling championship title remains very much alive after a thumping 4-18 to 0-15 semi-final win against Limerick in Ennis this evening.
Limerick trailed the champions 1-8 to 0-4 at half-time, Ruben Davitt's early goal put them on the back foot, but they managed to get themselves back into contention as they trailed by just one point in the 53rd minute, 1-12 to 0-14.
However, Galway cut loose, outscoring the Treaty County by 3-6 to 0-1 over the remainder of the contest. Man-of-the-match Gavin Lee and Liam Collins, scorer of 2-7, grabbed the goals in the rout.
