Last Wednesday night’s Sigerson Cup Round 1 tie between MTU Cork and UL was notable for a most unusual occurrence which saw siblings Keith and Paddy O’Driscoll mark one another.
The brothers, who usually line out together for Gabriel Rangers in West Cork, found themselves in direct opposition with Keith lining out at wing forward for hosts MTU Cork and Paddy starting at wing back for UL, who emerged victorious on a 0-17 to 1-9 scoreline.
“All love is lost when you cross the whitewash. Thankfully, we got over the line,” younger sibling Paddy quipped in a joint-interview after the game at the MTU Cork Stadium.
