Kerry have dethroned All-Ireland champions Armagh at Croke Park this afternoon to join Donegal, Tyrone and Meath in last four of the 2025 Sam Maguire Cup race.

It finished 0-32 to 1-21 at headquarters, where Munster champions produced a sizzling third quarter display to earn a statemeny victory and send Kieran McGeeney’s men packing.

'Man of the Match' Sean O’Shea's fine shooting form early on helped the Kingdom to run up a 0-9 to 0-6 lead after 25 minutes in the capital before the holders responded with Oisin Conaty and Joe McElroy points and then hit the front through Rory Grugan’s goal.

Grugan was fed in by Tiernan Kelly on the half-hour mark to smash the ball to the roof of the Kerry net and, while Jack O’Connor’s side responded well to the concession to edge in front again, the points of Ethan Rafferty and Joe McElroy saw Armagh holding a 1-11 to 0-13 lead at the half.

The Orchard men made a strong restart as well, with Rafferty’s two-point free being backed up by Rian O’Neill (2, 1 free) and Oisin Conaty, but it was Kerry that dominated after that as the excellent Joe O’Connor and O’Shea, who finished with 0-12, shot points to reduce their deficit to two.

In totally dominating Rafferty's kickouts, the next 10 scores went the way of the Kingdom with David Clifford and Paudie Clifford to the fore, as substitute Micheál Burns, Brian O Beaglaoich and Gavin White all got in on the act of sending over to create a nine-point margin between the teams by the 60th minute.

O’Neill’s ‘45’ stopped the rot for Armagh prior to David Clifford, Burns and O’Shea shooting over at the other end to seal a sweet victory for Kerry, avenging last year’s semi-final defeat in emphatic fashion having outscored their Ulster counterparts by 0-18 to 0-5 from the 41st minute.
