Clare star Eoin Cleary says the Banner men are working hard to try and get back on the winning track against Louth this weekend.
Peter Keane’s side need two points against the Leinster champions to secure themselves a place in the preliminary quarter-finals of the All-Ireland senior football championship.
The Munster runners-up shipped heavy defeats to Kerry and Down respectively last month before an improved showing against an in-form Monaghan side eventually saw them losing out by nine points to the Farney men.
Speaking to GAA.ie ahead of Sunday’s showdown with Ger Brennan’s men in Portlaoise (2pm), Cleary is hoping that Clare can bounce back and snap a three-game losing streak against the Wee County.
"Those performances against Kerry and Down were very disappointing," he reflects.
"We simply didn’t do ourselves justice against Down and we were very disappointed after it. But we did take something from how we reacted in Clones. It is in our DNA really as Clare people, we have loads of heart.
"We are hard working people and that is what we wanted to bring to that game and if we want to get a result against Louth that is what we are going to need to bring."
