Dubs pull off remarkable comeback in Tralee to inflict Kerry's second defeat in a week

Dublin earned their second win of the Allianz Football League campaign by battling back from 11 points down at half-time to edge out Kerry by 0-19 to 1-15 at a sold-out Austin Stack Park tonight.
In a game of two halves, the Leinster champions produced a sensational second-half showing and, in the end, it was Luke Breathnach’s score at the death which saw them taking both points back to the capital.
The hosts had built on a promising start, which included points by Micheál Burns and Graham O’Sullivan, by sending over two-pointers via Sean O’Shea and Brian Ó Beaglaoich that eventually saw them nine to the good.
The scoreboard read 0-12 to 0-3 when Paul Geaney latched on to some loose possession and struck to the Dubs’ net in the 31st minute, moving his side towards an 11-point lead at the break as they looked poised to bounce back from last weekend's two-point loss to Donegal in Killarney.
Dessie Farrell’s men got points from Ciaran Kilkenny and Tom Lahiff early on in the resumption and it’d be a string of two-pointers via Lee Gannon, Sean Bugler and Kilkenny that got them right back into the game, with just Geaney’s goal between the sides as 13 minutes of regulation remained.
An O’Shea free would be erased by Breathnach in the 62nd minute and, despite David Clifford having come off the bench for his first appearance of the season, Kerry just couldn’t stop the rot as Lorcan O’Dell swung the Dubs in front with a two-pointer and he’d land another late on to level it up before Breathnach grabbed the winner for the visitors in the 69th minute.
