A brace of goals from Sean Ryan saw Wexford cruise to a 2-12 to 0-9 win over Carlow at Chadwicks Wexford Park this evening.
In a game which saw Eoghan Nolan making his 100th competitive appearance for the Model County’s senior footballers, the host would be 0-3 to 0-0 in front by the time Ryan hammered in their first goal on 13 minutes.
From there, the Slaneysiders would move towards a commanding 1-8 to 0-3 half-time lead and Ryan’s second goal from close range had them 11 points to the good by the 57th minute.
Carlow did pull back a two-pointer via Niall Hickey ahead of Martin O’Connor’s point at the other end wrapping up a third consecutive win for John Hegarty’s side.
