This afternoon’s Allianz Football League Division 4 clash between Wicklow and Waterford has been postponed.
With strong winds and heavy rain brought on by Storm Herminia today, the pitch at Echelon Park in Aughrim has deemed unplayable for today’s scheduled encounter between the two Leinster sides.
It means that both teams will have to wait to get their 2025 Allianz League campaign underway, as well as Kerry and Donegal after seeing their league opener in Killarney called off along with the rescheduled Division 3 meeting between Leitrim and Laois which was due to take place in Ballinamore this afternoon.
Yesterday’s hurling clashes between Westmeath and Laois in Division 1B, and Mayo and Cavan (Div 3) were also postponed due to weather conditions.
