Cuala (Dublin) will face Errigal Ciaran (Tyrone) in tomorrow week’s All-Ireland club senior football championship final after ousting Sligo’s Coolera Strandhill by 0-14 to 0-9 at Kingspan Breffni this evening.
After having led by seven points with 20 minutes remaining in Cavan Town, the capital men held off a mini-revival from their opponents which saw the Sligo champions coming within two points of them.
A brace of points each from brothers Niall and Con O’Callaghan in the closing 10 minutes steadied their team's ship and ultimately put a seal on the Dalkey club’s victory, which now sees them competing for the biggest prize in club football in eight days’ time.
The sides had been level on 0-2 apiece after the opening 10 minutes prior to Austin O’Malley’s men pushing ahead with points from Peadar Ó’Cofaigh Byrne and Cal Doran.

Niall O’Callaghan and 'Man of the Match' Con O’Callaghan sent over scores after that, which saw Cuala taking in a 0-6 to 0-2 half-time lead, and more white flags via Doran, David O’Dowd and Peter Duffy after the change of end saw the Leinster champions threatening to run away with it.
A Con O’Callaghan ‘45’ made it 0-10 to 0-3 before Coolera Strandhill came to life through a run of five unaswered points, with Mark McDaniels, Ross Doherty and Niall Murphy amongst the trailers' scorers.
Niall O’Callaghan broke through to restore Cuala’s three-point advantage on the 50-minute mark and, from there, O’Malley’s charges were able to see out the five-point victory for their Croke Park date with the Tyrone champions.
