Cork hurling star Ciarán Joyce says he’s still finding his feet at full back, despite a very promising start in his new position.
Since moving to the edge of the square, the versatile Castlemartyr clubman has restricted both Limerick’s Shane O’Brien and Tipperary’s John McGrath to just a single point, resulting in both full forwards’ substitutions.
"It's a huge difference. It's a different ball game completely," Joyce told RTÉ.
"You're constantly concentrating on your men the whole time and you can't lose concentration for one second, because the full-forward line, for Tipp and for every team, they're very good.
"So if you lose your concentration, they'll turn you and score. I'm still getting used to it."
