London hung on for a 1-27 to 1-24 win over Derry at Croke Park this evening to land their first Christy Ring Cup title in 13 years.
Five unanswered points in the second-half proved key in swinging things the way of the Exiles as they earned themselves promotion to the Joe McDonagh Cup for 2026.

The scoreboard at HQ had read 0-5 apiece when David Devine (1-11) lashed in London’s goal in the 11th minute before Derry responded in kind with a rocket from Thomas Brady which found the corner of the net from all of 25 metres out.
London nudged in front again and went on to hold a 1-15 to 1-12 lead at the half thanks to the points of Devine (2, 1 free) and Dylan Lawson.

Cormac O’Doherty’s frees, along with the points of Eamon Conway and Christy McNaughton, would help Derry to close the gap by the 51st minute at 1-19 each, but Neil Rogers’s men were able to get motoring again with Devine to the fore for them.
The corner-forward’s frees would be backed up by the points of Conor O’Carroll, Dawson and Jack Morrisey as the Exiles triumphed by three in the end.
