Cork manager Pat Ryan has ruled defender Ger Millerick out of Saturday week’s Munster senior hurling championship final against Limerick.
Millerick suffered a broken finger in the Rebels’ 2-25 to 1-22 win over Waterford this past Sunday, meaning he will miss the crunch showdown against the Treaty men at the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
A hamstring injury has also put Jack Cahalane on the injured list at the moment, as the Division 1 champions plot to halt the Shannonsiders’ bid for seven provincial titles in-a-row down south.
“Ger Millerick is probably the only fella who will definitely be out,” Ryan is quoted saying by EchoLive.ie.
“He'll be out for about three-to-four weeks, he has a fracture in his finger. It's not too bad but it needs to be in a splint for three weeks so hopefully he'll be back for the next part of the All-Ireland series.”
