John McGrath and Darragh Stakelum replace Gearoid O’Connor and Willie Connors in the only changes to the Tipperary team which was well beaten by Cork in the Allianz League final a fortnight ago for tomorrow’s Munster SHC opener against Limerick in Thurles.
Meanwhile, Nickie Quaid has made a sensational return to the Limerick team, just five months after rupturing his ACL.
The three-time All-Star goalkeeper was expected to be ruled out for the season, but has recovered much quicker than expected to be named in the side. Poacher-turned-keeper Shane Dowling is named on the bench along with Peter Casey, Tom Morrissey, Dan Morrissey, Sean Finn and Darragh O'Donovan.
