Former Offaly sharpshooter Brian Carroll has been appointed as the county's new minor hurling manager.
One of the Faithful County's finest hurlers of the last 20 years, Carroll takes over the role from St Rynagh's Enda Mulhare just weeks after managing his beloved Coolderry to a county SHC semi-final against back-to-back champions Kilcormac/Killoughey. The five-time Offaly SHC medallist and Leinster Club SHC winner from 2011 also coached Lorrha to a Tipperary IHC title two years ago alongside his former club manager and Tipp All-Ireland SHC winning goalkeeper Ken Hogan.
Carroll recently added another medal to his collection when helping Coolderry's second team to Offaly IHC success. His backroom team includes former Birr and Offaly dual player Sean Ryan, Liam England, John Murray and Martin Bennett.
"Offaly GAA is delighted to announce the official appointment of Brian Carroll as our minor hurling manager for 2025," a county board statement read.
"Brian was a magnificent player for club and county, hurling with Offaly for 14 years, and he is still hurling with his club, Cooldery. He also managed his club to a senior hurling semi-final just a few weeks ago.
"Brian brings in an excellent and experienced back room team with Sean Ryan and Liam England going in as team selectors. John Murray as Athletic Development coach and Martin Bennett as his Strength & Conditioning coach.
"The very best of luck next season."
