Eamon O’Shea is continuing in his role as coach in Micheál Donoghue’s new Galway senior hurling management team.

The former Tipperary manager, whose son Donal has been part of the Galway squad for the past few seasons, is remaining in the role he took up during Henry Shefflin's third and final year in charge of the Tribesmen.

Donoghue, who led Galway to All-Ireland SHC glory in 2017, was appointed for a four-year term at last night's county board meeting. Francis Forde and Noel Larkin, who assisted the Clarinbridge man during his previous spell as Galway manager and for the past two years in Dublin, are also on board.

"Micheál will be joined by  Francis Forde, Noel Larkin and Eamonn O’Shea as part of his management team, with one further member to be added in due course," Galway GAA said in a statement.

"We look forward to working closely with Micheál and the management team and wish them all the very best in the years ahead."
