Shane Ronayne has stepped down as Cork senior ladies football manager after three years in the role.

Ronayne steered his group to two Munster titles during his time in charge, but the past two seasons saw the Leesiders suffering defeat at the All-Ireland semi-final stage to Galway and Dublin, respectively.

Speaking in a statement which confirmed his departure, the Mitchelstown clubman said that the “the time is right for a new voice and fresh approach”.
