Fitzgerald set to miss Clare's Munster SHC opener as one-match ban upheld

Clare star David Fitzgerald has had his appeal against a one-match ban rejected by the Central Hearings Committee (CHC).
The Inagh-Kilnamona clubman was issued a red card in last Sunday’s drawn encounter with Cork at Cusack Park, Ennis.
The match ban upheld by the CHC yesterday means that he will now miss the Banner County’s Munster SHC opener against Tipperary on April 23rd.
Fitzgerald now has the option of taking his case further to the Central Appeals Committee (CAC) to try and get the suspension overturned.
