Kilgarvan GAA is "bursting with pride" after Donal 'Down' O'Sullivan became the first player from the club to play senior football for Kerry.
Not only that, the talented dual player marked it with a man of the match performance in yesterday's Allianz Football League Round 2 victory over Monaghan at Fitzgerald Stadium. O'Sullivan, whose progress was stalled by a serious injury a couple of years ago, is a prolific scorer for his club and also starred alongside David Clifford in UL's run to last year's Sigerson Cup final.
Among those to congratulate Donal on his display was fellow Kilgarvan man and well-known politician Michael Healy-Rae.
