Waterford great Tony Browne will be part of new Tipperary hurling manager Liam Cahill’s backroom team in 2023.
The 1998 Hurler of the Year and three-time All-Star will continue to work alongside Cahill and coach Mikey Bevans after the trio guided the Deise’s fortunes last season. There had been speculation that Browne would remain on as a selector with his native county under Davy Fitzgerald, but he has opted to join Waterford’s arch rivals instead.
The news comes after the Tipp management named a 40-man pre-Allianz League panel which includes new captain Noel McGrath, Seamus Callanan and Patrick ‘Bonner’ Maher.
