Liam Blanchfield struck for the game's only goal in the 21st minute as Kilkenny made it four wins from as many Allianz Hurling League outings at Laois' expense.
Fielding a much-changed side, Brian Cody's black and ambers were never really troubled at UPMC Nowlan Park this afternoon, winning by ten points in the end, 1-29 to 0-22.
Blanchfield's kicked effort ensured the hosts kept their opponents at arm's length throughout an entertaining Group B contest.
