Tony Kelly landed 0-20 (0-15f, 1 65) as Clare saw off Dublin with a strong second-half display at Parnell Park this evening.
Having missed the win over Laois with a dead leg injury last time out, the Ballyea sharpshooter was back in his brilliant best form to help the Banner men to their second win (0-34 to 2-23) in the Allianz Hurling League Division 1 Group B fourth round clash.
Brian Lohan’s men trailed by two at half-time after conceding goals in the 28th and 31st minutes that wiped away a 0-12 to 0-9 lead.
However, with Kelly to the fore, the Munster outfit outscored their capital counterparts by 0-19 to 0-12 to record the win and ease relegation worries in the process.
