Knockmore are just 60 minutes away from winning their first Mayo SFC title in 23 years after beating Ballina Stephenites in today's semi-final at MacHale Park.
Ray Dempsey's charges ousted their neighbours to set up a novel final pairing with Breaffy on September 20.
The foundation for this four-point win was laid with a strong first-half showing as Knockmore took a 0-11 to 0-5 lead at the break. Peter Naughton proved particularly prolific for the victors, scoring 0-7 overall.
