
The dates, times and venues for the first four matches in the opening round of the All-Ireland senior football championship on the weekend of May 23/24 have been confirmed by the GAA this morning.
The blockbuster clash between holders Kerry and Donegal will take place on Saturday, May 23rd at Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney (3pm) and the game will be shown live on GAA+.
Pairc Ui Rinn will host the meeting of Cork and Meath at 5.30pm the same day and will also be live on GAA+, with the late throw-in coming in Salthill between Galway and Kildare (7.30pm) which will be aired by RTE.
On Sunday, May 24th, Mark Dowd’s Roscommon side welcome Tyrone to Dr Hyde Park for their Sam Maguire Cup opener. Throw-in for that one is at 2pm and the game will be available to watch live on GAA+.
The fixture details for the four remaining Round 1 games which are scheduled for the weekend of May 30/31 will be confirmed next week in order to avoid clashes with the Christy Ring, Nickey Rackard, Lory Meagher, and All-Ireland U20 hurling finals where possible.
