Three-time All-Ireland winner Diane O’Hora is set to manage the Mayo ladies senior football team in 2026.
O’Hora captained Mayo to Brendan Martin Cup glory in 1999 and is now set to succeed fellow Ballina native Liam McHale who stepped down last month following two seasons over the team.
One of Mayo ladies most decorated players, O’Hora previously managed Meath, Roscommon and Kildare and led the latter to Leinster and All-Ireland intermediate titles as well as two league titles.
She stepped down as Lilywhites boss 12 months ago and now prepares to steer her home county next season.
“We are thrilled to confirm Diane as our new senior manager. Diane’s deep knowledge of the game, her experience at the highest level, and her lifelong commitment to Mayo football make her an outstanding choice to lead our senior ladies team,” read a statement from Mayo LGFA chairperson Sinead Stagg after confirmation of O’Hora’s appointment on Thursday night.
