Kerry manager Jack O’Connor hinted that he could bring his management term to an end after steering the Kingdom to All-Ireland SFC glory today.

The 1-26 to 0-19 victory against Donegal at Croke Park marks a third treble for O’Connor at the helm following the triumphs of 2004 and 2022, which saw him guiding his native county to National League and Munster championship honours before capturing the Sam Maguire Cup later in the season.

Speaking on RTE Sport after his team’s 10-point win over Donegal today, O’Connor indicated that his third term could be at an end.

"I'm a long time at it, and I might be passing the baton onto somebody else," he stated.

He added: "That was the plan anyway, so we'll see."

Asked again on his future during the post-match press conference, the Kingdom boss commented:

"I'm on record as saying it's my last hurrah... But there's no hurry."

Today marks a 39th All-Ireland SFC triumph for Kerry, with O’Connor in charge for five of those having guided the county to eight Sam Maguire Cup deciders during his managerial career.
