All-Star attacker Rian O’Neill has arrived with the Armagh squad in Clones for today’s Ulster senior football championship final against Donegal.

O’Neill, who played a key part in the Orchard men’s Sam Maguire Cup success last year, has not featured for his county since last July’s All-Ireland final victory over Galway at Croke Park.

Armagh boss Kieran McGeeney told media after his team’s National League defeat to Kerry in March that he doubted the Crossmaglen Rangers clubman would feature his side in 2025.

However, in a surprise twist, O’Neill arrived at St Tiernach’s Park off the Armagh team bus this afternoon with gearbag in hand as the squad made their way to the dressing rooms and then took part in the team's warm-up.

Throw-in for the Ulster SFC final is at 5.25pm.
