Joe Carroll has been appointed as the new Cork senior ladies football manager in succession to Shane Ronayne.

Currently in charge of Éire Óg, Carroll led the Rebels to an All-Ireland minor title in 2022 and also to two Munster titles. He also served as a minor selector for two years under current Cork men's senior manager John Cleary in 2018 and '19.

Éire Óg have contested the last two Cork senior finals under Carroll, only to come up short against Mourneabbey and Aghada respectively. His backroom team will include Anne O’Grady, James McCarthy, Tadgh Buckley and Brian McCarthy.
