Tyrone are set to be without Conn Kilpatrick for Sunday's Allianz Football League showdown with Mickey Harte's Derry after his red card appeal was rejected.

The midfielder was sent off by Monaghan referee Martin McNally for a clumsy challenge on David Murray in the 39th minute of last Sunday's Round 1 win over Roscommon at Healy Park. But despite the decision being viewed by many as harsh, Kilpatrick's red card was upheld by the CHC (Central Hearings Committee) last night.

Kilpatrick has the option to launch a further appeal.
