Castlehaven needed extra-time to get the better of Cratloe in a gripping Munster Club SFC quarter-final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
In a game that was level nine times, substitute Robbie Minihane’s 68th minute goal proved to be all-important in a 1-12 to 0-11 win for the Cork champions. Brian Hurley scored 0-7 for ‘Haven who thought they had won in normal time through Mark Collins, only for Cartloe defender Enda Boyce to force extra-time on 0-9 apiece.
In the other quarter-final at FBD Semple Stadium, Seanie O’Connor’s first-minute goal set Clonmel Commercials up for a 2-7 to 0-6 victory over Newcastle West. Peter McGarry added a second late on.
The semi-final pairings are: Castlehaven v Rathgormack and Clonmel Commercials v Dingle.
