Diane O’Hora is to remain in charge of the Kildare ladies football team next year.
The announcement comes after O’Hora has been linked with the managerial vacancy in her native Mayo after guiding the Lilywhites to a National League Division 3 and All-Ireland Intermediate Championship double this year.
O’Hara won the Brendan Martin Cup four times as a player before going on to manage Sligo, Meath, Roscommon and Kildare. Mayo are on the lookout for a new manager since last month when Michael Moyles brought the curtain down on his three-year reign, with Liam McHale – who recently departed Kevin McStay’s men’s management team after just one season – favourite to replace him.
