Oisín McConville says he would be ‘shocked’ if Dublin lift the Sam Maguire this year.

After dismantling Louth in the Leinster SFC final, Dessie Farrell’s side weren’t nearly as impressive in their drawn All-Ireland SFC Round 1 encounter with Roscommon last Sunday.

“I’d be shocked,” the Wicklow manager replied when asked if Dublin would win the All-Ireland on the BBC’s The GAA Social podcast.

"You keep expecting them to put in this massive performance, but I don't think they have the capabilities of putting a run together to win it.

"I just feel that they don't have what it takes to put that run of three or four games together which is going to win them an All-Ireland. I feel there's always a poor performance around the corner. They're just struggling a little bit in a few positions at the minute.

"Even defensively, they are trying to protect that full back line. They played at times [on Sunday] with two sweepers, and they were very advanced.

"I'm thinking of some of the Ulster teams who would do a lot of damage to Dublin. I'm thinking of Galway who would do a lot of damage, and I'm thinking about, in particular, Kerry. If you give them that inside ball, they will just destroy you."
