Last night (Wednesday) saw the draw for the 2023 Mayo senior football championship made which are set to throw up some intriguing clashes later this year.

Holders Westport were drawn into Group 2 alongside Claremorris, Charlestown and Ballaghaderreen, while last year’s beaten finalists Ballina Stephenites are in Group 1 with Breaffy, Mayo Gaels and Balla.

Ballintubber are in Group 3 and former back-to-back winner Knockmore are in Group 4 with 31-time champions Castlebar Mitchels.
