Former Armagh goalkeeper Benny Tierney views his native county as being slight favourites for Sunday’s All-Ireland SFC quarter-final showdown with Galway.
The Orchard men travel to Croke Park as slight favourites after dumping out Tyrone in impressive fashion and, speaking on the GAA Social on BBC Radio Ulster, 2002 All-Ireland winner Tierney is expecting it to be a tight battle with the Tribesmen
"Galway are a Division 2 side and we're a Division 1 side but they're equally as good as us," Tierney said.
He added: "The bookies have it at 50/50 and I think that's a genuine call.
"The way we've come back in the last two games plus Galway are without competitive football in the last wee while, I think we're slight favourites for this one."
Sunday’s winners at headquarters (throw-in 1.45pm) will face either Derry or Clare on July 9th for a place in the All-Ireland final.Tweet
