Mark Keane is making a habit of winning big matches when he returns home from the AFL.

A year after scoring the injury-time goal which handed Cork a famous Munster SFC semi-final victory over Kerry, he was at it again, this time for the Ballygiblin hurlers in their Cork junior championship final against Dromtarriffe at Pairc Ui Rinn on Saturday.

After starting at centre back, the Aussie Rules player switched to the attack in the second half and scored a goal with seven minutes remaining to inspire Ballygiblin to a 2-18 to 0-18 victory. He also helped set up the other goal for Sean O’Sullivan.

Unfortunately for Ballygiblin, they won’t have the services of Keane for their upcoming Munster club JHC campaign as he returns to Collingwood today to start preparing for the 2022 AFL season.
