Johnny B O’Brien of The 2 Johnnies fame was a central figure in Cahir’s South Tipperary JHC ‘B’ final triumph last weekend.
Johnny B, who is one half of the comedy duo, was manager, full forward and sponsor of the Cahir team which recorded a 4-11 to 1-16 victory over St Patrick’s in Clonmel. 2022 Tipperary All-Ireland MHC winner Tom Delaney was the star of the show with 3-9 as O’Brien won his first medal in 21 years playing adult hurling for his beloved club.
“It’s unbelievable as this is the last hurrah for many of this group who have soldiered together for such a long time. We have three players who transferred back, three more who left a wedding early today to play in the final, and others returning from injury,” a delighted Johnny B told Tipperary Live.
