Newly crowned Tipperary senior hurling champions Kilruane McDonaghs honoured the memory of the late Dillon Quirke after this today's final victory at Semple Stadium.
The McDonaghs defeated Kiladangan by 2-20 to 1-16 to claim their first county SHC title in 37 long years and afterwards they dedicated the victory to the late Tipperary and Clonoulty-Rossmore star.
Dillon Quirke died tragically after falling ill during a senior club championship match at the same Thurles venue this past August.
After the final, the Kilruane McDonaghs squad remembered Dillon by taking a knee and raising his helmet in the spot where he fell ill during that game.
