Our women’s intermediate footballers produced a fine performance on Sunday morning to record their first win in Division 1, thanks to a 2-11 to 1-11 success against St Mary’s at Oxfield. Our junior women’s team also collected a victory against the same opposition in Division 4, on a final scoreline of 3-10 to 0-8.

 

The previous evening (Saturday), our senior men’s footballers made a winning start to their Furey’s Coaches Division 2 (Group 2) campaign with a 1-10 to 0-5 victory against Castleconnor.

 

Best wishes to our senior men’s footballers Cian Lally and Sean Power, who are part of the Sligo panel taking on Mayo in Saturdays Connacht football championship quarter-final at Markievicz Park. The game throws in at 4.30pm and is live on Sky Sports and on Ocean FM.

 

Our junior men’s footballers travel to west Sligo on Friday evening to play St Farnan’s in Division 4. Throw-in is at 8pm.

 

Our girls U16 footballers made a winning start to their new season with victory over Shamrock Gaels. They now host St Molaise Gaels at Oxfield this Tuesday evening.

 

Well done to the girls U14 footballers who recorded their first win against Coolera/Strandhill at Oxfield on Sunday evening. Next up is a match against St Farnan’s next Sunday evening (June 27th), again at Oxfield.

 

Our girls U12 team played well last Wednesday evening before losing out to Coolera/Strandhill in Group 3.

 

Hard luck to our boys U17 footballers who were beaten by St Mary’s last Thursday evening on a final scoreline of 4-14 to 1-8. The team play Curry on July 1st in their next match at Oxfield.

 

The U15 boys team play Eastern Harps next Monday (June 28th) in Oxfield at 7pm.

 

The boys U13 footballers Division C team made a winning start to their league campaign last Friday with a comprehensive victory over St John’s. They travel to Corran Park in Ballymote this Friday evening. Our Division A team play the same opposition at 7.30pm.
