Ben O’Carroll fired 0-6 as St Brigid’s coasted to a 0-13 to 1-3 victory over Coolera-Strandhill in a one-sided Connacht Club SFC quarter-final at Dr Hyde Park.
The 2013 All-Ireland champions made light work of the new Sligo champions to set up a semi-final meeting with Mohill next weekend. The other semi-final pits Ballina Stephenites – who comfortably saw off Fulham Irish on Saturday evening – against Corofin.
Five of O’Carroll points came in the opening period as the Kiltoom men built up a 0-9 to 0-0 half-time lead. The second half was a damage limitation exercise for Coolera-Strandhill who found the net through Leo Doherty before he was later sent off.
