The Roscommon ladies football management saga has taken another twist with the news that the outgoing management have been offered the chance to return.

Shannonside Radio is reporting that a vote to reinstate manager Ollie Lennon and his management team of twin brothers Tom and Brian Lennon as well as John Kennedy was overwhelmingly passed at a Roscommon LGFA meeting on Tuesday night.

The vote came just 24 hours after Roscommon LGFA issued an apology to the management over their controversial removal last month. The quartet were told their services were no longer required after a review was carried out by the county board without the Roscommon captain and vice-captain being consulted as part of the process.

It now remains to be seen if they will reprise their roles.
