Ciaráin Murtagh made his 100th appearance for the Roscommon senior footballers in Clones last Sunday.
County board chairman Brian Carroll described the 2017 Connacht SFC winning captain as a “mighty man both on and off the pitch” after reaching the milestone. Despite scoring two points from frees to bring his overall tally to 20-248, however, the St Faithleach's forward couldn't save the Rossies from a 0-11 to 0-14 defeat to Monaghan - their first since returning to Division 1 of the Allianz League.
Fellow attacker Donie Smith also joined the Roscommon centurion club at the end of January when he lined out against Galway in the opening round of the Allianz League.
TweetCongratulations to Ciaran Murtagh of @FaithleachsGAA who makes his 100th appearance in the primrose & blue today! 🇺🇦🇺🇦
