Seamus Qualter has been appointed Roscommon senior hurling manager for a second time.
The former Westmeath forward replaces Francis O'Halloran, who stepped down following last Sunday week's shock Allianz League Division 3A defeat to Louth. He previously managed the Roscommon senior and U21 teams from 2010 to '13, winning an All-Ireland U21 'B' title in 2012. More recently, he guided Athleague to a Roscommon SHC title in 2018 and Tremane to their first county final appearance in in 25 years in 2021.
Qualter, who led Westmeath to Christy Ring Cup success in 2007, will be assisted by Dathí Hand (coach) and Peter Galvin (selector). His first game back in charge of the Rossies will be away to Fermanagh on Sunday.
